BroodX cicada and wild grasses wall hanging

All items are handmade and are one of a kind from foraged wild and domesticated plants. I collect whatever is in season on my daily walks, usually in the Philadelphia area. The composition of my pieces range from traditional (using whole, pressed flowers and leaves) to more abstract. Each piece involves laying jewelry-grade resin in several layers, over several sittings. Again, this is a handmade piece, and imperfections are expected and not unwelcome.

5x5 inch wooden hexagon, pearl backed, filled with about an inch and a half of layered non-toxic epoxy resin. Two adults hanging on wild grasses with one nymphal husks. Part of my BroodX cicada collection (see portfolio)

Sealed on all sides, including the back, hang by jute cord or brass hanger.
